We goofed around in the early morning. Here's Thea blowing kisses.
Silly girl.
And her patented "surprised" look. We spent months teaching her that.
Later we met Sabrina, Estina, and Emmaly for breakfast at College Perk, a cool coffee shop about a block from us. (Unfortunately it's across a major street, so we still have to drive to it. Lame!) Here are the proud mamas with the cutest, squishiest baby EVER.
I love this dress on Thea. She looks like roll of lifesavers.
Is this what it will be like to have two?

Thea is 17 months old
Thea is now 17 months old! She had a very exciting month because we took her to New York City for the first time. Heather and Amy had dinner with us one night, which was the high point of the trip, of course, as was hanging out with friends we hadn't seen in ages.
While I went to a conference, Todd and Thea fun walking around the city and Central Park. They went to the zoo and saw a polar bear, sea lions, seals, penguins, all kinds of monkeys, birds, and even bats. In the Children's Zoo, she saw sheep, llamas, pigs, and a cow. On the streets of New York, she saw horses for the first time ever. I think it totally freaked her out; they're much bigger than they look in books!

May in NYC
Todd and Thea came with me on a business trip to NYC.
They hung out in Central Park while I was at a conference.
We had a BLAST.
I was really cranky about having to go, which is ridiculous. Everything was fine, and we all had a great time. I think part of the problem was that I was getting the results for the toxoplasmosis test (negative!!!), and was completely on edge.
