Thea is 22 months old
Thea is twenty-two months old today. She's less and less our baby and more and more our little girl. She constantly surprise us by what she knows.
By this time next month, Thea's little brother will be here. She's pretty excited about it. When we first tried to explain to her that a baby was growing in Mommy's tummy, I think she thought we were saying Mommy had eaten a baby. She gave us the most disapproving look and didn't want to talk about it anymore. But now she rubs my and says "Baby's sleeping" (usually after accidentally elbowing or kicking me there), so we think she understands there's a baby growing in there now.
She's started taking off all her clothes sometimes after she goes to sleep. I think it's because the house heats up unevenly and she gets really hot at night. She takes after me that way. I can't stand being too hot when I'm sleeping, either.
For Halloween this year, we have the cutest leopard costume for Thea. We took her to a neighborhood Halloween celebration this morning, and she were the cutest kid there.
She doesn't seem to be too crazy about sweet things, just like me. She likes chocolate, but won't eat a whole lot of it at one sitting. She drinks juice, but also not very often. Her favorite foods are still pizza, rice, palak paneer, spaghetti, olives.... She has pretty sophisticated tastes! She loves to help us cook, and she's really good at stirring. She loves playing with balls and with her baby dolls, but she hates having her hair cut (just like her aunt Heather).
Thea the best thing that has ever happened to us.
