Thea is 23 months old

Dear Thea,

You're 23 months old today! One more month and you're a two-year-old.

It's been an exciting month. You're learning so much. We can we understand what you say more often than not, you're starting to have definite preferences and opinions (and you express them with confidence!), and you can run, jump, sing songs, and play games. You and your friend Alex, who came over for pizza last night, sat at the dinner table and made faces at each other, then dissolved into hysterics. "You're so silly!" you said to each other between laughs and gasps for breath. It was so adorable that Alex's mom and your dad and I thought we'd die from all the cuteness.

At daycare you just moved into the two- and three-year-old room. Your dad is very proud, because they don't usually let kids as young as you move up, but the teachers all said you were so advanced that you were getting bored being with the younger kids.

We also brought your baby brother home from the hospital not too long ago. You're very excited about being a big sister, and you're great at it, too. You like to hold Liam in your lap, give him a bottle, stroke his head, give him gentle kisses. It's incredibly sweet.

Your aunt Heather came to stay with you while Mommy and Daddy were in the hospital with Liam. You had a wonderful time with her and really love her a lot. She loves you more, though, and was so happy to see you. She and Amy came back the next weekend to see you over Thanksgiving, too. I think they wanted to take you back to New Jersey with them, but I wouldn't let them.

Anyway, even though we have a new baby in the house, you're still our number one girl, the best girl in the world. We love you so much, and every day we love you even more.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Liam's birth day

My last picture pregnant, and SO ready not to be.

Heather catches Liam.

Daddy!

Liam meets his mom, who is totally drugged out.

I have one photo of Liam as he's pulled out of my body that I'm not sharing. You're welcome.
