Today Thea is officially two and a half today

We celebrated by taking her to the doctor. "Not nice!" as she would say. I think she's freaked out by white coats now, because a couple weeks ago we had to take her to have her blood drawn for a lead test. It's kind of shocking how much blood they have to take.

(The test came back fine, by the way. Of course. Our house may be over 100 years old, but it had god-awful wallpaper on all the walls. So, no lead paint. And as a bonus, it chased away a lot of prospective buyers, so we could afford it. Win-win.)

Anyway, here's a picture that typifies the two-and-a-half-year-old experience.

She passed out on the floor, exhausted after an hour-long screaming tantrum that was sparked, I think, because her dad and I were unable to alter the time-space continuum.
