Liam's first word

Liam said his first word today! "Mama," but it was really more of a wail than a word. When Todd was getting him cleaned up after dinner, he looked over at me and cried "Maaaaaamaaaaaaaa!" then stopped when I picked him up.

I know, it's a little iffy to call it his first word. But even Sue, who was over with Lila avoiding Don's stomach virus (poor guy), said it sounded like he said and meant "Mama."

Is it just me or does he, even at this age, just look like a boy? Weird, I always thought kids this age were essentially genderless.
