Liam is 4 months old

Dear Liam,

You're now four months old! Unfortunately, you've been celebrating with cold medicine, Tylenol, saline nose drops, and a nasal bulb. You have your first cold! You're being quite cheerful about the whole thing, though, all things considered.

This month you've developed an interest in your hands: sucking on them, holding random things with them, and waving them in front of your face. You weigh 15 pounds 12 ounces and are 26 inches long. Your head is also 17 inches around, but I don't know what that means. Anyway, you're thriving! Your doctor thinks you might even be getting teeth soon.

You laugh and smile a lot; everyone at your daycare says you're the sweetest little boy they've ever met. You have a sophisticated sense of humor for a four-month-old. You think it's funny when Mommy looks away, then looks back at you again quickly and says "Hello!" like it's the first time she's seeing you. For some reason, that cracks you up. You also like to sing and say, "Haaaaarrr!" a lot.

You're a wonderful addition to our family and we're all so glad to know you!
