Liam is 5 months old

Dear Liam,

You've been growing like a weed the last month. I think you're in the middle of a growth spurt, because you've been getting up 3 to 6 times a night to eat. That's a lot. Mommy and Daddy are very tired.

You just started eating cereal about a week and a half ago. Your doctor recommended it, and though I was skeptical, you seem to really enjoy it. It's nice feeding you at the dinner table with the rest of the family, too.

You also had your first ear infection. You didn't like it one bit, and neither did the rest of us. But you're feeling much better now.

Daddy said for me to tell you that you have the cutest laugh in the whole world. It is awfully charming and infectious. Once you start laughing, everyone in the room has to laugh, too. We can tell when you're not feeling well because you don't smile and laugh, which you normally do all the time.

We're so very glad to know you, and we love you very much!
