Heather and Amy came for a visit this past weekend. It was great to see them. Thea loves her aunts so much that when they leave, she becomes a bit monster, stomping around and wailing "I MISS HEATHER-HER-HER" [intake of breath] "AND AMY-HEE-HEE!!" She can't get enough of them.
If I look a little haggard, it's because one of our best friends arranged for a babysitter and we went out for dinner to celebrate her birthday the night before. It was the first time we've gone out without the kids in ages. Cheers!
(Both those wine glasses are hers. No wonder she's confused by the tiny fork.)
To distract the kids from Heather and Amy's impending departure back to New Jersey on Sunday morning, we took them to the playground near our house. Liam can climb to the top of the slide by himself.
As can Thea, of course.
They really wore us out.
Even the dog was exhausted.
When we got home, Liam wore Thea's goggles as a hair band. He's quite fashion-forward.
And Thea soothed her broken heart with popsicles.

Newbie from one weird mother - great photos. I think that's what they mean by quality time.
Cheers
Hey, Newbie! I hear you. But frankly we could use some quantity time with my sister and her girlfriend, too. :)
