Still leaning toward Hank. What can I say, I'm not a "spur of the moment" kind of gal.

YOU ARE NUTS.

two dogs? they'll love you forever :)

It's true (both that we're nuts and that they'll love us forever). Our whole impetus for the new dog was the old dog's feeeeeelings.

They are adorable! Speaking of nuts though, yours is are the only family that I can think of (or know in the DC area) that has more than one kid and two dogs.

Plenty of two+ kids, one dog, and one kid, two dogs. I guess that makes you *special*! :-)

if you meet Hank, you'd change your mind thinking we're crazy...he's a very sweet mellow lil doggy-boy.

Glad they are getting along. I love their faces...each clearly giving a message to the camera.

Kelly O said...

Yes, I think they're transmitting messages, too. The one on the right: Are you going to eat that? The one on the left: Can I trust you not to kill me in my sleep?

Kelly, these two win my cutness award.
as far as a name goes use Hank that is what he looks like to me,a hank.

Cute! Rescued pets are wonderful. Nero was rescued, as well. They also come with an added benefit. You can train them by using guilt. "Don't pee on the floor! Do you know where you would have ended up without me?"

I like Hank!! Have a friend who inherited a dog, dog's name was Scotty. Friends son liked Hank...now dog answers to Skank! Gotta stick with Hank. ;)

Is it too late to call him Ishmael?

mwahahahahahaha.

::in voice reserved for young children and animals:: such a cutie, with shorty leetle leggies!

my SIL's dog is hank. he's a huge lab or something like that. your little dude looks like one of QE2's corgis. i think you should name him charlie after QE2's biggest little doggie.

or camilla if he turns out to be a she.

wrekehavoc said...

actually, let me amend that.

::smacking head::

you need to name him Ike.

imagine the fun you'll have when you're calling them to dinner? and when tina whacks ike around, it's like karmic retribution.

Good move. Two dogs keep company, reassure each other when the rest of the "pack" (you guys) go away. Hank is good but Ike is tempting . . .

Kelly O said...

Thanks, Nonna! I think it's quite practical, too.

Ike really would be a great name. I think the kids are set on "Hank," though. Which is really quite lucky, because it could have been "Princess Sparkle Pants"; cute, but what a mouthful.

Just two dogs are not bad,When Celestine and I got married she had a dog(called Gabby) and a cat(called Binky).shortly after we got married some one threw out of a car a shep mix puppy (we named her Cookie) on my in laws front lawn.So we adopted her.Than on one of our short trips we found a abandoned cat and we ended up adopting here as well.now we have 3 girls and one boy.both the dogs(Gabby &Cookie & tigger) were girls and one cat was a girl.we were living in my inlaws house at the time.Than we got our own place for a while and ended up with an other cat(B.C.) a boy this time.We also got a kitten that was cast off from it's mother,he had slightly deformed legs as did one other litter mate.We called R.J.(for rejected)we ended up moveing back in with her parents in 1985.By that time Gabby was getting sick she developed cancer.so we pot her to sleep, that Binky developed cancer of the jaw,we put him down as well. Each time you have to put a pet down it is hard, especially for us because they were our "kids".any way we are now down to just one of our pets. That is Harvey who adopted us.But that is an other story.
