"Here There Be Monsters"

I've been meaning to post about this for a week, but I've been super busy. Check it out, DC's favorite son (and O-family BFF) was quoted in The Gothamist as having the most withering comment on some NYC/DC argument about who has the worst subway map:

Who the f**k wants a sophisticated subway map? WTF does that even mean? I'm thinking something in an a nice font like Trajan with pictures of sea serpents around Rockaway with a scroll in their mouth that says, "Here There Be Monsters."

Welcome to Dumbassville (aka Park Slope). Population: you.

Man, that Monkeyrotica is a smart and funny man.

Thank you, Kelly! I'm so glad you thought of this. I just emailed or phoned my peeps about it. That was one silly sitch & my Monkey out-clevered them all.

And congratulations on your website! You oughtta be proud of that work of art.

So sad that the NY/DC "rivalry" has come to "who's rats are bigger and whose subway maps are more "sophisticated." Meh. Trying to be snarky about NYC is like shooting chimps in a barrel. Rembember what Lou said: "When you're lonely and tired of the city/Remember it's a flower made out of clay."
