Massacre on the Island of Sodor

Liam's home sick again today and we're getting our fill of Thomas and Friends. I've always been wary of Sir Topham Hatt. The trains all seemed a little too deferential to him, and "Isle of Sodor" reminds me of a cross between "eye of Sauron" and "land of Mordor."

Was it narrated by Alec Baldwin? I can't stand those.

I'd like to put my years as a train mom to the test ... is that the episode where Percy gets chocolate all over?

That picture freaked me out! I had no idea that was a kids show.

Hope Liam's better soon for both his and your sake...repeated Thomas episodes cannot be good for the adult psyche.

So far, my kids haven't been sucked into Grouchy Trainville. (those trains are always so ornery and snippy with one another....thomas's gang and caillou need to hang out...they would totally make caillou cry...now, that i would love to watch)

I remember that episode. Thomas is in a hurry and splashes mud on people waiting at the station, which greatly angers Sir Toppem Hat. To make up for his mistake, Thomas is a REALLY useful engine and takes the island's gypsies to Dachau.

They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight.
Shunting trucks and hauling freight,
Red and green and brown and blue,
Time to round up all the Jews...

This show is worse than Hitler. Really.

::spit take::

seriously, not sure which song was worse: "they're two they're four...etc." or the instrumental piece that played when george carlin was the host.

now that i mention it, i'm dating myself. i also remember when ringo was the stationmaster. gives a whole new meaning to "toot toot."

I think it's jam, not bloodrain. At least that's what they say....

I once read a blog entry where the blogger theorized that Thomas was really all about hot gay male porn. Obvious what STH's role was. LOL!

I'll see if I can find it for you.
