I took the kids to a Halloween party this weekend. For trick-or-treating, Thea is going to be a leopard. But for a party with her friends, she wanted a costume she could play in. I managed to talk her out of being a princess or ballerina like most of the other 4- and 5-year-old girls and into being an office worker with this dress, passed down from Nylonthread's little girl. Thea accessorized it herself, though.
It's startling how much she looks like me, don't you think?

did you put yourself in a shrinky dink machine? Wow. It must be like looking in the mirror.
And an office worker? Great. Did her friends get it? If you had a little red suit and wanted her to have a scary costume she could be Tina Fey as Sarah Palin.
OMG, she does look just like you! You have a twin and a clone! How does it feel to be in triplicate?
I always thought that dress looked like an oh-so-small version of office-wear. Brilliant to make a Halloween costume out of it!
It's true, the family genes are strong.
I don't think her friends got it, but some of the adults were pretty wowed.
It is amazing...but I would think that it feels great as well. Fun to look into the eyes of a child (somebody you love) and see yourself. Everything comes full circle.
Good for you on encouraging her to go a different route. My, she looks brilliant.
Oh my. I don't think I've ever seen a cuter face. You two are twins! You must post a pic of you as a kid one of these days.
my lil girl is growing up so fast. sob. oh, sorry, that's sob as in crying, not son-of-a-bitch!
I don't think it's scary how much she looks like you. I think it's AWESOME!!
Hey...did I forget to come over and tell you I have an award for you at my site? Maybe? I'm a lammo like that.
she totally looks like you. that's awesome!!
