I wanna be sedated

One day to go until the election and I'm as nervous as a cat. I vote in every election, not just the presidential ones, and I try to be zen about it. Things rarely get so bad that they can't be fixed with a new administration. But this year, we have a chance for something amazing, don't we? Even if you're not a supporter of Obama — and if you're not, I'd love to hear a reasonable explanation of why — his presidency would mean a shift away from the religious right, something long overdue for our country.

What does everyone think? Will tomorrow be a champagne day, or a drink-yourself-to-sleep day?

Not to worry. it's not even about the issues anymore. It's future vs. past. And no one wants to keep things going the way they are. Only one way to go - forward. With bubbly in hand!

Nervous right along with you! I don't quite know how I will sleep or then, get through the work day tomorrow. I have enough to get done today to deal, but tomorrow....AAACK!

Bloody Mary's will be on tap for me :-)

I am not sure why I am so calm about this. I was a wreck the last two times because I wasn't sure which way it would go but now for some reason I am feeling like maybe the country won't let me down. It's ridiculous though to think this but I just can't shake that feeling. If, however, things go horribly wrong tomorrow I will be devastated.

I hope those of you who are chill about this are right. I'm pretty consistently *thisclose* to crying.

I am nervous and excited. I feel cautiously positive. I am going to be up bright and early to go vote, I'm taking the kids with me (fearless soul that I am!) and will be discussing all the serious stuff with them. Then, after breakfast, we will be hitting the pavement, canvassing the city for Obama voters. I will be working hard for Obama tomorrow, and showing my kids how to be strong voters. Will I sleep well tonight? Probably not.Already I am feeling queasy. If McCain wins, I amy have to be medicated.

I am so nervous as well. But I am hoping for a champagne day all the way! My friends are hosting a charity event tomorrow night to help pass the time and hopefully celebrate Obama's victory. My fingers are crossed my friend.
