This weekend Nylonthread and I are getting together to paint portraits of our pets. I'm nowhere near as good an artist as she is; we're not even in the same league. But I've never let a lack of talent stop me before. This is Nylon's warm-up for her painting. Lovely! And here's mine:
I was originally planning to paint them in the big-eyed waif genre, but maybe I'll go with something more like this. What do you think? Not quite cheesy enough?

Love it!
Heh! That's Awesome!! I hope you exaggerate teh cutenezz of yr doggies in the painting. Thanks for the compliments, I'm blushing. :-) Warmup or not, I think I'm actually going to use this image of Weegee to paint from.
I love it. Sort of this plus this equals that (with pups).
What were you offering them to get such big eyed yearning? Looks like it ranks #1 in the "I'll do anything for that treat."
One woman wrote about how she was watching the tube and one dog trainer said you could tell how loyal your dogs were by how they reacted when you passed out.
Intrigued, she stood up, did a melodramatic drop and waited.
Her dogs looked at her, looked at each other and simultaneously grabbed the pizza off the coffee table.
I love it! You have inspired me to try the same thing with Fred. Okay...maybe not the same but I can still try.
I feel as if the one dog is a hypnotist. I am strangely compelled to go buy dog treats.
Shouldn't Tina be holding a pitchfork?
There's a slight hint of madness to the background that I really like. Sort of Van-Gogh-y...
You know, I think you're all right. I should just go all out for the Starry Night background, instead of just hinting at it!
