Sunday matinee

The kids had a blast at Megamind, as did I. It's great that they're finally old enough to sit through an entire film.

I remember one of the first movies I ever saw: Walkabout. It thoroughly traumatized me and my sister, and I'm sure my parents, who couldn't possibly have known how gruesome and disturbing it was.

They match the color of the characters behind them. Does "Walkabout" stream on Netflix?

They took you to Nick Roeg's first film! It is a miracle they ever got you back in a theater.

Did you know the little brother in that film is Roeg's own son?

I will never, EVER watch Walkabout again. It was traumatizing and I couldn't watch any other movie for years without wondering when someone was going to die terribly and whether I'd have to see flies, the horrible, horrible flies.

HEY!! I wonder if this is where my pathological fear of flies started!
