This was the first time the kids went sledding. My favorite part is at the end when Thea throws her arms up and yells "Awesome!!"

Snowpacalypse Now

You can barely see my fence and I'm not showing the downed tree in my yard, one of my favorites, which I mourned briefly before accepting its demise as a part of the natural order. Thea's school has been canceled until Tuesday. Don't know when we'll be able to dig out (though I have plenty of groceries and wine, thanks to Mike and his four-wheel drive). Here's hoping the power stays on!

Digging out before round two

We've had the worst snow storm on record, and we're getting more tomorrow. Todd and Mike dug out my car while the kids, dogs, and I played.

Snowed in!

Much to my surprise, I found myself snowed in at a friend's house. One minute the snow started to fall gently and I said to my friend, "Let's just finish this bottle of wine and I'll be on my way." The next thing I knew, it was a blizzard and I was unable to leave. That came on fast!
