DIY wine labels to obscure the fact that I drink cheap wine

I drink wine ever night with dinner, even if my dinner is just a handful of cheez-its. Maybe especially if my dinner is a handful of cheez-its. And because I drink wine nightly and I'm on a budget, I drink cheap wine and I buy it by the case. I don't generally feel embarrassed by this. (See "Do More Expensive Wines Taste Better?" Short answer: no.) Most of my friends couldn't care less what kind of wine I serve. But every now and then, I get a little sheepish when I pull out a bottle of Three Buck Chuck.

So a friend and I made our own labels to paste on the bottles. Here's what is currently on tap at my house

Charles Shaw's Cabernet Sauvignon

Charles Shaw's Pinot Grigio

This is brilliant, I'd love to glance at a bottle on my host's table and see something like this

Dude. Cheap-o carafes are your friend. The Value Village is lousy with them, donated by the olds whose adult kids refuse to let them drink anymore. A sensibly priced crystal decanter will improve the taste of even the shoddiest plonk.

Great idea! Those crystal decanters are so charming, it's true. I need to find some that aren't lead-filled (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/06/06/AR2006060600299.html).
