Halloween wrap-up

For the last several years, I've made sure the kids went trick-or-treating in our neighborhood. They don't get as big of a haul as they have in other neighborhoods, but I think it's a good idea to let the neighbors see the kids and vice versa. This year they went with our next door neighbors and some friends from down the street.

Omar was a vampire
Ginger was a robot

Aisha was a kangaroo

Liam, as you know, was Darth Vader
The younger kids surveyed their candy while the older kids ran off somewhere

I also try to decorate as much as possible, to entice kids to come down our street. It's an uphill battle. You just don't see many kids out on Halloween in our neighborhood.

I put our carved pumpkins out right before the kids went trick-or-treating, so they weren't eaten by squirrels. It was a little hard to find pumpkins this year. Apparently the east coast hurricane a few months back destroyed a lot of crops.

Hey, way to work the Halloween pics! So cute! And I'm jealous — we did almost no decorating and the kids had super-boring costumes (no photos for me).

Very excited to see you on the NaBloPoMo blogroll! Let's heat up these blogs, lady.
